Any fan of LEGO, whether they’re die-hard veterans or newcomers to the LEGO genre, is sure to be charmed by this latest addition to the City series. The LEGO City Farm gives children the chance to recreate and interact with life on a farm, by building and playing with their very own farm buildings, vehicles, and characters from the bricks provided.

The LEGO City Farm is easy to build and children will enjoy engaging with the different elements of the farm as they construct each piece. It includes a cow shed, grain silo, barn, tractor, and ride-on mower. It also comes with 2 black and white cows, a cat, dog, and mouse, plus 3 mini-figures – a farmer, farm-girl, and farm-hand.

The real appeal of this set is in the detail. Once built there’s a lot to delight both young and old fans of LEGO, such is the obvious thought that has gone into the design of each farm piece. The tractor has an opening rear and a bucket with a tipping mechanism, while the grain silo (which measures 27cm – over 11 inches – tall) has a removable top and sliding mechanism beneath allowing you to empty its contents into the tractor.

The barn measures 15cm (6 inches) tall by 12cm (5 inches) wide and has a working winch to raise hay bales. It also comes with a ladder to allow your farm-workers access to the higher level. In total the LEGO City Farm comprises 609 pieces, making for an impressive and hard-to-beat set. It’s suitable for kids from 5 to 12 years, and is available for around £49.
